I would like some info about the side effects if any to this drug - other than what i know is - it inhibits the body from absorbing alcohol and so becomes toxic and that it makes you deathly ill should you drink while on the drug. I am seriously thinking of stepping up to this level in my recovery simply because i have the desire but my will keeps caving in and i need something to get me through this part in the beginning - i am not new to recovery/sobriety but i just know myself well enough tha… Continue

I have 2 days of sobriety and counting. I am working on the book and going to online meetings. This time I feel different and I feel strong. I am doing this first for myself and then whoever else that matters. I am not overconfident but I am sure that if I stop drinking; I will lose weight (health), I will gain monetary things (wealth), and most importantly I will gain my son's respect...Please keep in touch, your words are encouraging. My fiancee and I split up for a couple of weeks and I fell off the wagon. We are back together and I am going to continue on with my efforts to stop drinking. I can only keep trying, because when you stop trying, you will never stop drinking.... Keep in touch and let me know how things are going. :D

At 3:38pm on April 25th, 2008, sylvia said…: I don't think my last message went thru...Anyway I went to my doctor's office today all eager and excited about the antiabuse pill and then I was sorrily disapointed to find out that in Vancouver, BC Canada they have discontinued the pill. I can no longer get it. But I wish you all the luck and do keep me posted.
