I used to have a photo of myself,very,very drunk and not a pretty site,and very often i would take a long hard look at that and think"this is going to be the wat i will look to everyone when i begin to take that first sip.

Hey Sylvia - the pills are working out fine. I have been clean now for 3 wks maybe - i find that when shit happens that is when i want to cover the feelings and mask the pain but you know u can survive it sober - it don't feel like it at the time but you do and i feel so much better coming out of it with clear thinking and knowing i lived after all. "From the ashes and fallen below the Phoenix always rises again to fly onto another day and place! Keep the faith Sylvia and keep in touch. Do you ever go to the chat rooms? take care - doing good over here - as a matter of fact going on a short trip to NY tomorrow with my 7 month old side kick - christian. Will write when i come back home.

how is it going for you these days - i am on the pill and no adverse reactions at this time to report. the only one i foresee is if i pick up and drink - but i am watchful or the food i intake as well - have to be sure nothing in there as well - but at this point all is going good - it is working. hope u r doing well - drop me a line.

- I am sorry to here that Sylvia - why did they discontinue the pill - that would be interesting to know if u can find out. I go in on Thursday to get my scrip - so i will let you know how that goes - well just keep connected with members for your support and i am here too.

- I am a single mother that has two children aged 12 and 14, one lives with me one doesn't. I am currently being treated for bipolar disorder and going to drug and alcohol counselling.

- I am looking for support in my efforts to quit drinking. I have gone from drinking every two to three days to every one to two weeks. I have improved but haven't completely quit. Wanting to stop completely is my goal. If you have any ideas, I am more than willing to listen to them.
