I'm going on a trip to Germany tomorrow. It wasn't a planned trip. My dad passed away yesterday. His liver was too damaged from the drinking all these years. It was a horrible way to go. I sure hope he is at peace now. He was only 61, what a waste...

I am even more determined now not to follow in his footsteps. This stuff is poison!!!

I'll write again when I get back.... what a nightmare

I isolated, went on vacation in Mexico and drank wine. I was able to control it a couple times but the last night I drank till I blacked out. Can you believe after a few glasses of wine it made sense to do tequila shots??? Ouch...

I haven't touched a drop of alcohol since. It was quite a memorable and miserable trip home.

At 9:19am on March 7, 2008, cinder said…: i figured you did. i also thought about the fact that you don't spend that much time in denver. but it's one of those places you'd just know about, like you know about the cherry creek mall i'm sure even if you don't shop at neiman marcus all the time. coyote ugly is in there, i think they have live music, i'm not sure. what i dislike most about most of the dancing places are the butt-crack girls. i'll be so glad when that fad is over although i don't think it's going anywhere soon. you like live music you can dance to or just music? i went to dazzle a couple of weeks ago. they have jazz. no one was dancing. but the jeff jenkins trio is pretty good. you seem like you might be more of a grizzly rose or soiled dove type person. just guessing.

At 3:01pm on March 4, 2008, cinder said…: no i mean the denver pavilions on the 16th st. mall. i can't remember the exact address because it spans several blocks but i'm going to say welton. wolfgang puck's used to be in there but it closed. the united artists theatre is in there, maggiano's, victoria's secret, the hard rock cafe, all that stuff. if you've never been, i'm shocked. it's been there forever.
