Okay, here is my situation...

I've been sober for almost three years.
Before I was able to finally get sober and stay that way, I tried the twelve step stuff for on and off for about eighteen years... It never worked... I decided that it was bullshit and moved on... I hope I'm not being to intrusive when I suggest that you are going to have to quit drinking... or using drugs... or sniffing glue... or whatever addiction you have that is tearing you apart. We can sit around and talk about warm fuzzy feelings or how powerless you feel... believe me, I've felt that way before. I've decided that it is just unhealthy for me to continue any interaction with AA members. I understand that some people can continue relationships with people from that program without any negative impact on their perceptions about their sobriety methods or even their self worth. I've been spending way too much time online debating and trying to justify my sobriety to people who are never going to accept me for who I am. There are so many stubborn people out there who believe that there is only one way to get sober and stay that way. Sometimes I just get so frustrated that I begin to bash their program and then the whole thing just winds up in an ugly mess.
